The Fornés Institute invites colleges, universities, and theatres of any and all sizes to celebrate the life and work of María Irene Fornés (1930-2018), 9-time Obie Award winning playwright, during the Decade of Fornés 2020 - 2030: Celebrando Fornés/Celebrating Fornés.
Celebrations can take the form of productions, workshops, readings, panels, and classroom discussions, whether in-person or virtual.
Any celebration that happened or will happen during The Decade Fornés 2020 - 2030 can be included! Then in 2030, the centenary anniversary of María Irene Fornés’ birth, we will have an archive of 10 years of celebration. Take a look at some the Fornésian productions that have already taken place:
